In a time when politics is polarising and dating is divisive, one US woman is on a matchmaking mission to Make America Date Again.
Christy Edwards Lawton is the brains behind Righter - an app deed to help President Trump fans find one another. The app unashamedly subscribes to old-school gender roles for men and women - and it's been the subject of controversy, with commentators arguing this only further cements the divide between the left and right. Lawton has also ly said feminists weren't allowed on her app. We really support that and celebrate them.
Lawton also says the app is having to expand to cater for the top one per cent of Americans who don't want to be on an app - so she's meeting with them privately to offer her services. Lawton, who works with the elite one per cent and is married to a chairman, argues that women are doing "too much" and need to back off when it comes to dating. They like to set the date and make the first move, and nowadays men struggle a bit with women doing a bit too much.
